Mrs. Helen Bernice Dyson's Obituary
Helen Bernice Dyson, age 79 of Cross Creek, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in Palm Garden of Ocala. She was born March 7, 1937 in Bell, Florida to Charles Berney and Theresa Amos Bass. She worked as a beautician in Hawthorne for many years before going to work for General Electric, from which she retired. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She was a member of Micanopy Eastern Star and First Baptist Church of Micanopy.
Mrs. Dyson was married to her husband, Billy Dyson for 63 years. Mr. Dyson passed away on the same day. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Alfred and Berney Lee Bass. She is survived by her two sons, Billy Dyson, Jr. (Donna) of Cross Creek and Allen Dyson (Ginny) of Hawthorne; brother, Roy Bass (Wanda) of Earleton; grandchildren, Suzy (Larry), Jeffrey (Lyndi), Stephen (Rachel) and Stacy (Chris) and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church of Micanopy. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service; beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service in Antioch Cemetery, Island Grove.
