Helen L. Colandreo's Obituary
Helen L. Colandreo, age 86 formerly of Newberry, Florida passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014. She was born September 8, 1928 in Washington, D.C. to Edward Jackson and Blanche Stant LaForce.
Helen grew up in Washington, DC and moved to south Florida in the mid fifty’s and then moved to north Florida in the mid seventy’s. She worked at the Maddox Foundry in Archer for ten years. She was very creative and enjoyed reading, painting and sewing. Helen was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church of Williston. She spent her life dedicated to her family and children.
Helen is survived by her children, Mary Lou Carter, Teresa Burke, Patricia Potter, Michael Colandreo, Rochina Colandreo, Paul Colandreo, Dominic Colandreo; grandchildren, Chip, Brenna, Paul, Brian, Jennifer, Steven, Peter, Harmony, Rocco, Patrick, Mark and seventeen great grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 26, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 10900 S.W. 24th Avenue, Gainesville, with Fr. Jeff McGowan as celebrant.
