Harry Robert "Bob" Lutz's Obituary
Bob Lutz, 75, passed away December 26, 2018. He was born in Akron, Ohio and resided in Alachua, Florida with his wife and high school sweetheart, Karen “Sue” Lutz.
Mr. Lutz retired after 23 years in the United States Army and 10 years in the United States Postal Service. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2811 of Gainesville, a life member of Disabled American Veterans, and a member of The American Legion Post 0016 of Gainesville.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Joan Garrett, Sue Scott and Rosella Knisley, and a brother, Frank Lutz.
He is survived by his son, Anthony Lutz of Deerfield, OH and step-daughters, Lisa Green of Jacksonville, FL, Kathleen Rumbaua of Crestview, FL, and Shannon Reed of Jacksonville, FL. Survivors also include sisters, Marlene Anderson (Jerry) of IL, Deborah Casto of OH, Jean Beck (Mike) of NC, Denise Turchiano of OH and brothers, Don Lutz (Kaylah) and Gerry Lutz (Sheila), both of OH, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services with full military honors will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd Street. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250, or to Child Fund International, 2821 Emerywood Pkwy #100, Richmond, VA 23294.
