Graham G. Philips' Obituary
Graham G. Philips, 64, died Wednesday May 18, 2016 due to complications from cancer. He joins his beloved wife Marsha Philips who died unexpectedly 19 days prior. Graham was a devoted husband, father, and friend and a much-loved realtor at Berkshire Hathaway Trend Realty. He was steadfast in his determination to defeat cancer despite devastating loss. Graham is survived by his mother, Katherine W. Philips of Highlands, NC, sister June Peel of Augusta, GA, children Alison, Dana, Meg and Drew, and 8 grandchildren.
Graham was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church and a man of great faith who volunteered his time counseling inmates at Lancaster Prison. Graham was a kind and gentle soul, widely respected for his strength, intelligence, and character. His peaceful demeanor and dignified presence will continue to impact those he affected so profoundly.
Services will be held at Grace United Methodist Church at Fort Clarke, 9325 W Newberry Rd, Gainesville, FL 32606, on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 3:00 pm. The family requests that no flowers be sent. Please consider donations to Grace at Fort Clarke United Methodist Church in his honor (donations in his name will be directed to support vocational training and counseling for inmates at Lancaster Prison).
