Grace Marie Nash's Obituary
Grace Marie Nash, age 89 of Gainesville, Florida passed away Monday, July 29, 2019. She was born December 1, 1929 in Paterson, New Jersey to Frank and Margaret Luciano Del Vecchio.
Grace and her husband Derek retired and moved from Paterson, New Jersey to Gainesville FL in 1991 where they settled in Meadowbrook Golf Club. Grace and Derek were soul mates, loved to play golf, and over the years, created many lasting friendships.
She was a member of Holy Faith Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Derek; son, David E. McDonald and brother, Frank Del Vecchio.
She is survived by daughter, Eileen Marzak (Greg); son, Derek Nash (Kim); daughter, Leslie Nash-Lassen; grandchildren, Christa, Angela and Anna Marzak, Larissa Nash, Julia and Laura Lassen, David F. and Jason McDonald; great grandchildren, Erin and David E. McDonald; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth McDonald, brother-in-law, Thomas Nash, many beloved nieces and nephews, but especially Ellen Jagielo, Camille Cenicola, and Francine Del Vecchio, goddaughter Amy Bush, and special friends Marie Weidmann and Ida Ferrara.
The family would like to thank Brookdale staff for the care given to our mother over the last few years, and especially to Cherise Young and Stephanie Dennis who she held a special place in her heart.
A funeral Mass will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Boulevard, Gainesville, FL 32606.
