My favorite memories of my Aunt Grace are from when I was a child in the Bronx. She and I had such adventures together. (She was my own personal "Auntie Mame.") Aunt Grace introduced me to the best of culture that New York City had to offer - from the museums, landmarks as well as those in our backyard (literally) - The Bronx Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
I will always think of her as my "Downtown" Aunt because I remember she loved the song by Petula Clark; and of course so did I. (I remember she bought me a copy of the single after having a hot dog at her favorite hot dog spot Gormans on Fordham Road during one of our local adventures.) Grace was a special person that I am a better person for having known. Thank you Aunt Grace - meet you Downtown one day!
Love, Billy
