Gloria "Nana" Kinard Augustine's Obituary
Gloria “Nana” Kinard Augustine, age 83, of Gainesville, FL, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025. She was born on November 25, 1941, in San Fernando, Trinidad, to Gayman and Unica Augustine.
She was a devout Christian and a member of the Pentecostals of Gainesville. She liked to read and loved collecting porcelain dolls. She was the best cook, and she was a beloved Nana to ALL.
Gloria is survived by her husband, John George; children, Desmond Gary Paul, Lynette James, Jolanda Paul, Allen St. Clair Kinard; two sons-in-law, Glen Griffin and Willie Robinson; 24 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, sisters, Norma McIntyre, Augustina Augustine; brother, Charles Baptiste Augustine and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 3 children, Joseph Paul, Gary Paul, Jennifer Paul Griffin: 4 brothers, Lloyd Pope, Willie Augustine, Samson Augustine and Boiler Augustine.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pentecostals of Gainesville, 8105 NW 23rd Ave, Gainesville, FL with Pastor Jimmy Toney officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
