Dear Kirk and Kathy McDonald,
I was deeply saddened by the news of Grandma Gloria’s passing i wish i could’ve spent the amount of time i hoped for with my only grandparents i had the pleasure to have a relationship with. The two most wise people i knew and most inspirational, i loved my time with you both during trips and i hope you cope with the loss as well as possible. My grandparents made sure i always enjoyed my trips to beautiful Gainesville and filled my mind with worthwhile knowledge. I’ve met the most interesting and best people around just walking with my grandparents at Oak Hammock. I hope that we could at some point in time come back together to catch up. I wish we kept more in touch but now better then ever would be the time. After years of quietness i still have love for Gloria, Kirk, John and Kathy. Gloria has was an inspiration to me and I loved her, she helped me grow to think of others more then my own, and to stay focused as possible academically. I have many stories and memories told and made by Gloria and Kirk. I enjoyed my time with the McDonald’s taking trips to museums and wildlife preserves getting one with nature. John Kirk McDonald Sr was one of my inspirations to join the United States Air Force although Kirk being another branch, his pilot stories filled my head with wonder and drive. Gloria gave me a piece of her life with every story and timeline shared and i wish i could've heard more.
My deepest condolences, Daniil James Mcdonald
