Gloria Jane Jerrel's Obituary
Gloria Jane Jerrel, 66, of Gainesville, Florida, died Tuesday, August 14, 2018 in the E. T. York Hospice Care Center, following a long illness.
Gloria was born in Williston, Florida on December 23, 1951 to the late Flavius & Gloria Jerrel and attended Williston Elementary School. She had lived in Gainesville for most of her life, and in spite of her challenges, Gloria was proud of her ability to live independently and to work, especially at Morrisons Cafeteria, Exceptional Industries and at the ARC. She had a great love for animals, especially dogs, she loved home cooked meals, and was happiest with family and friend get togethers, and enjoyed Christian and country music. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Buddy & Richard Jerrel.
She is survived by three sisters, Kathleen McDonough, of Gainesville, Nancy (Richard) Starling, of Williston, and Patricia (Charles) Cain, of Alachua; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11:00 A. M., in the Chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Downtown, 404 North Main Street, with her nephew, Pastor Jason Cain, officiating. Interment will follow in Flemington Cemetery, Flemington. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A. M. Memorial donations may be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
