I first met Gloria shortly after she and Bill moved to Gainesville. We were both interested in genealogy and met at the Mormon Church Family History Center. Can you picture 2 Jews meeting in the church? We always thought that was a funny beginning. Shortly after, we took a genealogy class together taught by a woman who would affectionately become known as Mrs. Boring Thursday nights at Gainesville High School. The first class, Gloria was a little late after swimming, and I went out to look for her because the classroom had changed, and she was so happy that I came out to look for her and she couldn't believe that I would do that. I think this is what cemented our friendship. We shared many good times and some sad times too throughout the years ever since. I moved away from Gainesville in March 2007, but we remained close ever since, dropping an email or making a phone call every once in a while to catch up, and it would be like no time had passed since the last time. I will miss my dear friend and treasure the memories I have of her forever. God speed and rest in peace!
