Glendale A. Moorehead Sr.'s Obituary
Glendale A. Moorehead Sr, age 80 went home to be with his beloved wife, Dorothy on September 20, 2018. He was born on September 8, 1938 in Antigua to George William Moorehead and Adella Ann Moorehead. He lived in St. Thomas, USVI for many years before moving to the states. In 1977 he and his wife moved to Englewood, New Jersey and resided there until 1999 before moving to McAlpin Florida.
He worked most of his life as an independent truck owner operator. He enjoyed building things around his home and was a jack of all trades, master of one, fatherhood. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and German Shepherds.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy A. Moorehead of 37 years. He is survived by his children, Glendale Moorehead Jr and spouse, Angela; Paqueta Moorehead, Scott Bussey and spouse, Mary; Kim Miatke and spouse, Rex and Lisa Verrano; ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Epiphany Catholic Church, 1905 Epiphany Ct, Lake City, FL with Fr. Robert Trujillo as celebrant. Interment will follow at the City of Live Oak Main City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Glaucoma Society Foundation or Alzheimer's Association.
