Gerald Earl Ringo's Obituary
Gerald Earl Ringo age 89, of Moweaqua, Illinois, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014. He was born October 29, 1924 in Findley, Illinois to Tracy and Edith Carroll Ringo. Gerald served in the United States Navy and was employed as a heavy equipment machinist. He enjoyed fishing, carpentry and gardening.
Mr. Ringo was preceded in death by his brother Tracy Ringo Jr. and sister Thelma Wickenhauser.
He is survived by his wife Norma Jean Ringo; son, Gary (Charlene) Ringo of Gainesville; brother, Wilford L. Ringo of Hawthorne, NV; sisters, Bernice Walters of Boynton Beach, FL., and Eloyce O’Neal of Haywoth, IL.; grandchildren, Scott(Melissa) Ringo, Tonya Ringo and great grandchildren, Andrew Cona, Skyla and Tristan Ringo.
A Funeral service will be held Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 12:00PM in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd Street. Interment will be Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 11:00AM in Westside Cemetery, Moweaqua, IL. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to The American Cancer Society, 2119 SW 16th Street, Gainesville, FL, 32608
