George William "Bill" Snyder's Obituary
George William Snyder, the oldest son of George N. and Josephine (Penner) Snyder, died October 17, 2014 at his home in Gainesville, Florida. He was born September 15, 1934 in Fremont, Indiana.
George “Bill” was a proud graduate of Fremont High School, Fremont, Indiana, Class of 1952. He was active in all sports and school activities. After serving his country in the U.S. Marines, he moved to Florida in 1958 with his family and graduated from the University of Florida in 1962. Following graduation he accepted a position with the Internal Revenue Service with the United States Government. After retirement he opened his own practice as Forensic Auditor centered in the Tampa, Florida area, but actually working all over the United States. Bill enjoyed the New York Yankees, traveling and Gator football and basketball.
Survivors include his daughter, Victoria (Billy) Farrell of Alachua, FL; his son, Timothy; granddaughters, Dallas Farrell and Ashley Snyder; brothers, Richard (Jo) of Goshen, IN and Ned Snyder of Fremont, IN; sister, Joanie Pauwels of The Villages, FL; close companion, Joyce Lomont-Crowl and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Cindy.
