Geneva Ione Womeldurf's Obituary
Geneva Womeldurf, age 88, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016. She was born on May 11, 1927 in Jacksonville, Alabama to the late Raymond and Anne Boozer.
Geneva enjoyed traveling, meeting and talking with people, she never met a stranger. She enjoyed singing, was a great hostess and loved dogs. She was a member of the Garden Club and First Baptist Church of Gainesville.
Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph D. Womeldurf in 2004; siblings, Mildred Williams, Maxine Boozer and Joe Boozer; step- children, Scotty Womeldurf and Steven Womeldurf and nephew, Wayne Boozer.
She is survived by her daughter, Roxanne Eckles-MacDonald (Craig) of Gainesville, FL; granddaughter, Crystal Eckles- Crowder of Newberry, FL; step-daughter, Tracy Brang; step-son, Michael Womeldurf; sister-in-law, Carolyn Boozer; niece, Cecelia Lowe (Dan); nephews, Ken and Steve Boozer and step grandchildren, Jennifer, Adam, Melanie, Bryce and Kelly; great grandchildren, Colton, Kyle and Keaton and long term family caregiver, Alice Small.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street with Dr. John Fairless officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, 401 SE 21st Avenue. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 7, 2016, 3:30 to 5:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
