Gene Paul Tedder's Obituary
Gene Paul Tedder, 72, resident of Gainesville, Florida, died Thursday, November 20, 2014, in the Select Specialty Care Hospital, following a long illness.
Mr. Tedder was born on October 19, 1942, in Miami, Florida, to the late Paul Mathew and Yvonne Tedder, and soon after moved to Gainesville, where he lived for the rest of his life. He graduated from P. K. Yonge High School, Class of 1961. Gene attended the First Baptist Church of Gainesville, he worked for many years as an HVAC mechanic for Hanburry & Dickinson Heating & Air, and owned and operated Gene’s Kustom Kut Lawn Service.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Larisey Tedder; one son, Christopher Paul (Karla) Tedder, of Green Cove Springs; two brothers, Michael Tedder of Mt. Dora, and Rick Tedder of Gainesville; one sister, Joyce Perryman, of Savannah, Ga.; two grandchildren, Paul William and Barrett Graham Tedder.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 1:00 P. M., in the Chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd St., with Rev. Steve Griffis, officiating. The family has encouraged everyone, in Genes honor, to attend in casual dress. Interment will follow in Memorial Park West.
