Mr. Gary Walter Gray's Obituary
The son of Walter and Doris Gray, Gary was raised in New Philadelphia, Ohio, where he was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School. He worked in the clothing industry as a young adult, which included a move to Gainesville, FL with his family in 1979, to be a department manager with Wilson’s Department Store. After Wilson’s closed, Mr. Gray started his own business as a painter with Gary W. Gray’s Custom painting. He retired from painting and provided for his family with a number of various new adventures that enriched his life. He was an Elder and Administrator at Living Faith Fellowship until his retirement. He was a member of Vineyard Church. He was a loving and supportive husband and father.
Mr. Gray is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara A. Gray, his 5 children, John Gray (Susan) of Wilmington, Ohio, Gary Gray Jr. (Jill) of High Springs, FL, Mike Gray (Tami) of Brooker, FL, Heidi Lynch of Gainesville, FL, and Jason Gray (Julie) of Orlando. 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and three brothers.
Funeral services for Mr. Gray will be Sunday, March 4, 2018, at 2:00 P.M., in the Living Faith Fellowship, 5510 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville, Florida. The family will be there to receive words of comfort and encouragement an hour before the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in the memory of Gary can be made to the Bread of the Mighty Food Bank, www.breadofthemighty.org.
