Gail Hutchins' Obituary
Gail Hutchins, age 80 of Hawthorne passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024. She was born September 2, 1943.
Gail was a lifetime resident of Hawthorne Florida. She was a University of Florida Alumni and loved gator sports with her son Charlie.
She taught school at Shell Elementary for 30 years and was still substituting there. She also loved teaching Sunday School. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she loved fishing, cooking and taking care of everyone. She will be missed by family and all of her friends.
Gail is survived by her two sons, Ralph Hutchins Jr., wife Shelia Hutchins and Charles Hutchins; sisters, Ora Robie, Ruby Hutchins and Della Atkinson; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many nephews, great nephews, and nieces and many close friends as well.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Ralph Hutchins Sr. and loving daughter-in law Carolyn Hutchins.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Lakeside Baptist Church, 22027 SE 65th Ave., Hawthorne with Pastor Shaun Goode officiating. Interment will follow in Hawthorne Cemetery, 23350 SE Hawthorne Rd. The Family will receive friends Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home, Hawthorne, 22205 SE 69th Ave.
