Francisco "Frank" Almeida Viveiros' Obituary
Mr. Francisco “Frank” Almeida Viveiros, Sr., 78, longtime resident of Hawthorne, Florida, died Monday, June 19, 2017 at his home, following a long illness.
Mr. Viveiros was born in Rehoboth, Massachusetts on June 15, 1939 to the late Bento and Philomena Viveiros. He graduated high school as a very young man, and then joined the U. S. Navy, and served aboard the USS AV7 Currituck. Mr. Viveiros moved to Hawthorne in the mid 1960’s, where he was a longtime member and former deacon of the Ochwilla Baptist Church.
He was a store manager for Scotty’s in Gainesville for 25 years until his retirement in the mid 1980’s. He was a musician, a guitar player, and an avid swimmer. He loved fishing and both watching and playing soccer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Pearl Viveiros in 2004 and a daughter, Diana Maria Viveiros.
He is survived by two daughters, Debra Cichorz of Keystone Heights and Tina Viveiros-Hayes, of Hawthorne; two sons, David Viveiros (Debbie Warden) and Frank A. Viveiros, Jr., both of Hawthorne. Eight Grandchildren and Thirteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 11:00 A. M., in the Ochwilla Baptist Church, 100 Lake Winnott Road, Hawthorne, with Rev. Johnny Goodwin, officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Ochwilla Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 5 to 7 P. M., in the Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Hawthorne, US 301 South at Lake Avenue.
