Francisco Antonio Cammarata's Obituary
Francisco Antonio “Frank” Cammarata, age 85 of Melrose, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Frank was born December 7, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to Tony and Cecile Madajewlski Cammarata and grew up in Calumet, Michigan. He proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Army during WWII and Korean War and received the Silver Star, Distinguished Military Service, National Defense and Good Conduct Medals. He loved to fish, play cards and taking care of his dogs, Sassy and Skippy.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Betty Cammarata; children, Deborah (James) Lofton, Robin (Gerald) Gurganus, Allan Lange, Dawn (Michael) Towns, Daniel (Susan) Nobles, Les (Pam) Nobles, Brian Nobles; son-in-law, Gerald Tolleson; brother, Anthony Cammarata; sister, Nancy Anderson and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by children, Billy Jack (Judy) Kittles, Sue Tolleson, Leon Kittles and Harold Wayne Jenkins.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME HAWTHORNE, US 301 South at Lake Avenue, with Pastor Don Dowling officiating. Interment will follow in Providence UMC Cemetery in Windsor. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
