Frances Jewel Willis' Obituary
WILLIS, Frances Jewel, age 83, passed away at home surrounded by her beloved family on Friday, June 6, 2025. She was born on January 27,1942 in Providence, Florida.
She was one of eleven children to the late Otis and Cary Frances Beasley Bielling. She is preceded in death by 10 siblings J.D., Earl, Ellis, Carl and J.W. Bielling; sisters Edna Bielling, Evelyn Chance, Annie Mae Taylor, Mary Preston and Marjorie Teston.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Woodrow Willis of Alachua Fl, and husband of two years Chester Allen of WV, son-in-law Douglas Wronske and grandson Ryan Wronske.
She is survived by her 5 children Devi Wronske (Doug) Newberry, Connie Coleman (James) Newberry, Woody Willis (Terrie) Jacksonville, Denese Clark (Mark) Newberry and Angela Jackson (Damon Davis) Newberry, 9 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 9 step grandchildren.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church, Newberry. She and her late husband Woodrow loved to visit local churches and sing. She loved gospel and bluegrass music, camping and fishing. She loved going to the mountains, yard-selling, meeting people and talking with them about Jesus. She retired after 27 years from the GE Plant (Alachua). She was a devoted caretaker to many. Her strong faith and teachings in the Lord’s word were the family’s guiding light and she was the BEST cook around.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 10:00 am at Union Baptist Church 6259 S.E. 75 Ave. Newberry. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am in the church. The burial will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
