Frances I. Sabo's Obituary
Frances I. Sabo, 77, of Newberry passed away November 17, 2015 in Gainesville. She was born July 11, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York to George and Ollie Mae Langdale Dillon. She graduated class of 1956 from Tottenville High School in Staten Island, New York and from Rainbow Beauty Academy in Perth Amboy, NewJersey in 1971. Fran thought her greatest legacy was her children, grandchildren, and especially her great-grandchildren. She lit up a room with her smile and quick wit. She enjoyed to travel, cooking for her family, watching Gators basketball and football, and spending quality time with her loyal husband. She had a heart of gold and was loved by all who knew her. She was an active member of Post 149 Auxiliary in Newberry, DAV Auxiliary in Crystal River, and Korean Veterans Auxiliary of Gainesville.Frances was preceded in death by her daughter, Yvonne Dillon-Waterman (Timothy) and siblings, Barbara, Stella, and Pat. She is survived by her soulmate and husband of 43 years, Peter Sabo, Jr; children, Peter Sabo III, Mark Sabo, and Chris Sabo (Melissa); siblings, Judy, Tom, and Bob; grandchildren, Jason Flanagan (Carrie), Kathleen Pickett (John), Timothy Flanagan (Angela), Carissa Sabo, and Colleen Flanagan; great-grandchildren, Phillip, Amelia, Frankie, Emma, and Evan and her loving cat, Misfit.Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd STREET, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513, at 2:30 p.m. with a reception following at the American Legion Post 149, 26821 W Newberry Rd, Newberry, FL 32669, at 4:30 p.m.
