Frances Cook Quesada's Obituary
Frances Cook Quesada, 93, longtime resident of Williston, Florida, died Sunday, January 6, 2019 at her home, following a short illness.
Mrs. Quesada was born on January 13, 1925 to the late Peter Joseph and Clara Cook. She was raised in the Wynwood neighborhood of Miami and lived in Miami for 68 years, working as the cafeteria manager for Morningside Elementary School, for over 20 years, before moving to Williston in 1994. Mrs. Quesada loved her new life in Williston, became an active member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, and was involved in many ministries of the church, especially the nursing home ministry. She was an avid Bunco player.
She is survived by her daughter, Aggie Meece, of Pembroke Pines; a son, Jack Figaro, of Miramar; a sister, Freida Zimmerman, of Beaver Falls, PA and a grandson, Duane (Christina) Meece, of Pembroke Pines; and by her beloved cats, Sweetie and Yelly.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 11:00 A. M., in the Holy Family Catholic Church, 17353 US-27 ALT, Williston, with Father Manny Lopez, celebrant. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one-hour prior, beginning at 10:00 A. M., in the church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the ministries of Holy Family Catholic Church.
