Frances Virginia Murphy's Obituary
Frances Virginia Murphy, 97, formerly of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on January 27, 2018 in Gainesville, Florida where she lived since 2014. She was born June 3, 1920 in Gladys, Virginia to Eutaw Land and Martha Louisa (Williams) Maddox.
She is survived by daughters Carolyn Fischer (Henry) of Asheboro, NC, and Marie Samec (James) of Gainesville, FL; grandchildren, Michael O’Kelley (Tammy) of Asheboro, NC, Shelley Samec and Brian Samec of Gainesville, FL; great-grandson, Nicholas O’Kelley (Ashley) of Summerville, SC; as well as a nephew and nieces. She was survived by her son, Walter Brent Murphy of Atlanta, GA, who followed her in passing on February 6, 2018.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 2 pm, in the chapel at Palm Lake Christian Church, 5401 22nd Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL. Memorials may be given in lieu of flowers to Palm Lake Christian Church (palmlakecc.org) or your favorite charity.
