Frances Margrithe Morey's Obituary
Frances Margrithe Morey, age 83 of Gainesville passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014 after a courageous battle with bone marrow cancer. She was born August 8, 1930 in New York, NY to Hildingand Anna Kelly Peterson.
Frances was born in Manhattan then moved to Albany as a child and grew up there. She moved to North Creek and started her family and then to Glenn’s Falls, NY. In 1979 she moved to Tampa, FL where she resided until moving to Gainesville in 1993.
Frances loved birds and started the local bird club of Gainesville, Gainesville Bird Fanciers.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ben Morey; daughters, Ruth Richards and Chris Clifton; sons, Roger Morey, Jay Morey, Jeff Morey and Gene Richards; sister, Diane Meade; 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
