Frances Joella Barnes' Obituary
Frances Joella Barnes, 63, longtime resident of Jacksonville, Florida, died Friday, December 22, 2017, in the North Florida Regional Medical Center, Gainesville, following a long illness.
Mrs. Barnes was a native and longtime resident of Jacksonville, she worked as a letter carrier, a career lasting almost 30 years. An animal lover who enjoyed the beach and all outdoors; a past member of the Audubon Society. Mrs. Barnes was past member of the Ft. George Episcopal Church on Ft. George Island. Following her retirement in 2015, she moved to Keystone Heights.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Hector Perez, of Gainesville; an uncle, Clair Fletcher; cousin, Pamela Fletcher; sisters, Donna James, Holly Quinney, and Leanna Thibeault; one grandson, Dylan Perez.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11:00 A. M., in the Chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Downtown, 404 North Main Street, Gainesville. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alachua Humane Society, 4205 NW 6th Street, Gainesville, FL 32609.
