Forrest (Jake) Jarrett's Obituary
Forrest (Jake) Jarrett, age 84 of Gainesville, passed away Monday, May 4, 2015 at his home. He was born October 29, 1930 in Bradford, Pennsylvania to the late Elmer and Annabelle Dwyer Jarrett. Mr. Jarrett went to Bible College at 61 years of age and visited over 2000 nursing homes sharing the Gospel. He was a member of North Gainesville Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Jarrett in 1989, baby Jodi and two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his daughters, JoEllen Bodak and Jill Jarrett; sons, Jed and Jeff Jarrett and six grandchildren, Jason, Kimberly, Lon, Amanda, Noah and Austin.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 7:00 p.m., in North Gainesville Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Monday, May 11, 2015, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., with a service at 8:00 p.m., at Francione-Taylor-Lopez Funeral Home in Neptune, New Jersey. Interment will be in Monmouth Memorial Park in New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to North Gainesville Baptist Church Building Fund, 6203 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32606.
