Florence "Emma" Huguenin's Obituary
Florence ”Emma” Huguenin, age 79 of Keystone Heights, FL passed away Monday, October 9, 2017. She was born June 24, 1938 in Bend, Oregon to Hubert W. and Anna Winnifred Cork Bartlett.
Emma proudly served in the US Navy as a Medical Corps. She was active in the DAV and VFW for over 20 years. She held the position of Colorado State Women’s Auxiliary Commander DAV. She retired from Colorado DMV after 20 years. She was a member of Emmanuel Christian Fellowship Baptist Church.
Emma was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Henry Dosa Huguenin, 2 sisters, Adelva Dietz and Drucilla Atkins.
She is survived by 6 children, Becky Kidwell, Brenda Bumgardner, Benita Burnley, Henry Huguenin, Garrett Bumgardner and Kimberly Huguenin; 17 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren and her beloved dog Casper.
Graveside service will be held Friday, October 13, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. in Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL with Rev. Anthony Coleman and Pastor Lonnie Daniels officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd. Gainesville, FL 32606.
