Evelyn Mae Kleinsasser's Obituary
Evelyn Mae Kleinsasser, age 90 passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 4, 2021, surrounded by her family.
She was born on May 24, 1930, in Irwin, South Dakota to Erwin M. and Cleo Mulhair Schultz.
Evelyn graduated from Norfolk Senior High Class of 1947 in Norfolk, Nebraska.
In 1957 at the age of 27, she married Harry kliensasser.
Throughout Evelyn’s life, she was a beautician and owned her own beauty shop, and managed hotels. She enjoyed working on crafts while in North Carolina. When she moved to the Florida Keys, she became a bridge director and also a top Avon sales representative, she was a member of the Equestrian pony club in Ft. Lauderdale and traveled on cruise ships teaching bridge.
When she moved to the Gainesville area, she played bridge online, then became a full-time bridge instructor and planner.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Herman Harry Kleinsasser, and her daughter Patricia “Patty” Cleo.
She is survived by her son, Loyd Herman (Candace); brother, Glen (Doris); four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
She was well known in the community as a leader, and instructor in bridge and involved in the bridge clubs.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. with Chaplain Artie Hart in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS WESTAREA.
Private burial will be at High Springs Cemetery where she will be buried next to her husband.
