Evelyn Ann Hodge's Obituary
Evelyn Ann Hodge, 87, of Gainesville, FL passed away Monday, April 27, 2026, in Starke, FL. Evelyn was born June 25, 1938, in Alachua, FL to John R. and Myrtle Pons. She worked most of her life as a supervisor of culinary services at the University of Florida. Her greatest joy in life was loving and caring for her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in by her parents, her daughter, Ruby Ann Miller Lang and son, Hubert David Hodge, and siblings; Alvin Pons, Betty Jane, and Jewel Johnson.
Evelyn is survived by her loving children Lamar and Robert Tillman and Marie Miller and her grandchildren, Jason, Stacey, Tiffany, Heather, Wyatt, Little David, Curtis, Josh, Luke, Susan and Joseph. Also surviving are many great-grandchildren, extended family members and friends.
A Graveside Service to honor the life of Evelyn Hodge will be held Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 10am at Providence Cemetery, Windsor, FL, with Pastor Robert Sullivan officiating.
