Eva Louise Ault's Obituary
Eva Louise Ault, 84, resident of Gainesville, Florida, died Thursday, January 26, 2017, at her home, following a long illness.
Mrs. Ault was born on November 8, 1932 in Salem, Ohio to the late Hiram and Eva Louise Jones. As a child, she moved to Miami, Florida, where she went to school, and then worked for a brief time in the banking business, before beginning a long career with Eastern Airlines. She moved to Gainesville in 1990, following the death of her husband, Mr. Edwin Ault. Mrs. Ault held membership in the Daughters of the Nile with Nahum Temple #75 in Miami, and the Khem Temple #85 in Jacksonville. Mrs. Ault was a very active member of the Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, where she served in the Young at Heart group, the altar team, and performed all sorts of odd jobs. She was an active member of the Gainesville Garden Club, and was a volunteer usher at the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
Survivors include; her daughter, Marjorie Christmas; two step-sons, Bryan Ault and Terry Ault; a sister, Ann Vaillancourt; six grandchildren, Gary William Christmas, Jessica Ann Christmas, Adam Wayne Christmas, Allan Ault, Alanis Ault and Sophie Ault. Five great grandchildren also survive.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, 9700 W Newberry Rd, with Pastor Alan Struckmeyer officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90 Blvd, Gainesville, FL 32606.
