Ethelyn V. Swanson's Obituary
Ethelyn V. Swanson, age 95 of Gainesville, Florida, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016 in E.T. York Care Center. Ethelyn was born June 22, 1920 in Plainfield, New Jersey to Robert and Ethel Ashton Schwoerer. She was a member of the Elks Lodge in Middlesex, New Jersey and in her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family, going to Atlantic City, going to flea markets, and playing bingo. Ethelyn was a proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Carl Swanson. She is survived by her four children; Rose Stangle (Sam) of Gainesville, FL, Carol Barany (Steve) of Piscataway, NJ, Alfred Swanson (Kathy) of Albrightsville, PA ,Robert Swanson (Kathy) of McIntosh, FL,grandsons; Steven Barany of Piscataway, NJ, Todd Barany (Laura) of Washington, NJ, Sam Stangle (Suzette) of Gainesville, FL,granddaughters; Cindy McDermott (Robert) of Franklin, NJ, Dawn Lucas (Steve) of Longwood, FL, Cheryl Coleman (Kevin) of Gainesville, FL, Deborah Costabile (Jon) of Gainesville, FL and great-grandchildren;Lauren, Karen, and Trent Barany, Darec and Kearissa Lucas, Gabrielle and Emily Costabile, Carter and Cooper Coleman, and Samantha Stangle, and two great-great grandchildren.
A service will be held at a later date in New Jersey where she will be laid to rest with her husband. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Boulevard, Gainesville, FL 32606.
