Esther Pessah's Obituary
Esther Pessah, age 90 of Gainesville, passed away Monday, January 5, 2015. She was born June 24, 1924 in Cairo, Egypt to Salamon and Malka Gohar. Mrs. Pessah was a member of Congregation B’nai Israel where she belonged to the Friendship Circle and Sisterhood. She enjoyed camping and being outdoors. Mrs. Pessah loved life and people.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ness I. Pessah; children, Elise Eastman of Kansas City, KS and Isaac N. Pessah (Beatrice Boffen) of Davis, CA; three grandchildren, Abe, Jacob and Isaac and two great grandchildren, Eli and Asha.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., in B’nai Israel Cemetery, the corner of East University and Waldo Road, with Rabbi David Kaiman officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to B’nai Israel c/o Friendship Circle or Rabbi’s discretion, 3830 Northwest 16th Boulevard, Gainesville, FL 32605.
