Ernest Cadell Broske's Obituary
Ernest Cadell Broske, age 87 of Alachua, Florida, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 at his home with his wife and daughter by his side. Ernest was born July 30, 1930 in Richmond, Virginia to Joseph Mirilyn and Lillian Plunkett Broske. He worked as a university administrator. An active member of the First United Methodist Church of Gainesville, Ernest was a member of the New Beginnings Sunday School Class.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Stearns Broske; daughter, Elizabeth Broske Gallaher (Jimmy); brother, William Broske, Sr. of Richmond, VA; sisters, Jean Broske Rabbe (Bill) of Dallas, TX and Barbara Broske Silke of Dallas, TX and three grandchildren, Jeffery Lee Pennington of Tulsa, OK, Bryan Anthony Gallaher of Ontario, NY and Shannon Elizabeth Gallaher of Ontario, NY.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church of Gainesville with The Rev. Beth Farabee officiating. For those who wish, you may make a contribution in his memory to First United Methodist Church of Gainesville, Florida or the Florida Methodist Children’s Home in his memory.
