Eric Charles Johnson's Obituary
Eric Charles Johnson, age 52 of Gainesville, Florida passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015. Eric was born in Brooklyn, New York to Charles and Violette Johnson.
Eric was not only a talented award winning chef, but was also passionate about helping those less fortunate, implemented programs and interacted with the patients at the Regional Medical Center and Shands Hospitals, but also the Student Body and Personnel at Florida A&M University.
Eric would take every available opportunity to assist in many charity events including and involving the Wounded Warrior Project and Children’s Miracle Network.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Alice Orsini-Johnson; sons, Nicolas Cole, Benjamin Dean and Xander Neal; Mother, Violette Fargo and Stepdad Martin Rocco of Staten Island, NY; Uncle Leonard Farrauto and wife Beverly; Brother, Greg, his wife Andrea; Step-brother and Sister Eddie and Lisa and Cousin Scott Ferrante.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd with Pastor Michael Lugones officiating. Interment will follow in Countryside Cemetery, 10926 NW 39th Ave. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, June, 1, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
