Enola Lassiter Cowart's Obituary
Enola Lassiter Cowart, age 89 of Gainesville, Florida, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014. She was born April 18, 1924 in Adel, Georgia to Henry and Wealthy Harris Lassiter. She volunteered at Older American Council and was active in Community Watch at Highland Court Manor and in her free time enjoyed ceramics and fishing. Mrs. Cowart was a member of Gainesville Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron S. Cowart in 1995. She is survived by her children, Danny Cowart (Linda) of Archer, FL, Jerry Cowart (Benita) of Glennville, GA, Myra Cowart (Allan) of Rochelle, FL, Lu Troy of Micanopy, FL and Deborah Johnson (Scot) of Gainesville, FL; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., at Gainesville Church of God, 7003 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32606, with Pastor Chris Chrisopulos officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Central. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 19, 2014, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street. For those who wish, donations may be made to the church.
