Emily Mildred (Duke) Nall's Obituary
Emily Mildred (Duke) Nall left this earthly life on the morning of September 23, 2023 to join her
beloved husband Marial Alfred Nall in the heavenly home of our Lord and Savior.
Mildred was born in Dothan, Alabama and would have turned 96 years old in October of this
year (2023). She was the last surviving of four children born to Joseph and Perla Duke. She is
survived by her only daughter, Patricia Ann Bell and husband, Herbert Eugene Bell.
Her grandchildren also remain to remember and celebrate her life: Christopher and Melinda
Bell, Deborah and Bradley Martin as well as Steven and Ann Bell. Mildred also has six great
grandchildren: Victoria, Patrick, David, Emily, Chelsea and Natalie and was blessed in the same
month as her passing with great, great grandson, Colton. Her many nieces and nephews were
especially dear and will miss her greatly.
Mildred worked as an administrative assistant for Independent Life Insurance Company for over
35 years. In the latter years of her career the company utilized her organization, knowledge and
ability by sending her to different district offices to train their new office staff.
A devoted wife of 70 years, Mildred cared for her husband, Alfred for the latter eleven years of
his life as his mental and physical health slowly declined due to Parkinson’s disease and
congestive heart failure.
Mildred was a devoted servant of God and Jesus Christ for all of her life, beginning in her youth
in Alabama, relocating to Lakeland, FL where she lived there with her family for many years.
After retirement, Mildred and Alfred moved back to Dothan Alabama where she brought her
organizational skills to her Sunday School class at Southside Baptist Church, often serving as
class secretary. Dearly beloved of God and earthly family, Mildred Nall will be sorely missed.
Memorial Service will be held October 20 at 11:00 at the Williams Thomas Funeral Home Westarea 823 NW 143rd Street, Newberry, FL 32669.
