Helen Eloise Miller Fisher Lutz's Obituary
Helen Eloise Miller Fisher Lutz, age 95 of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018 at E.T. York Hospice Care Center. She was born November 17, 1922 in Charleston, West Virginia to her much-loved parents and role models, Elmer O. Fisher, Sr. and Lenora Amelia Miller Fisher. Eloise had a very good, long life filled with loving friends and family: her greatest love, her husband, “Augie” Christian Lutz; her best friend, her “twin” sister, Avis Irene Peters, and her partners growing up, brother, Elmer and sister, Mary Anne. Eloise took pride in her profession as a secretary and a stenographer. Her favorite vacation was time spent with family full of nieces, nephews, siblings, children and grandchildren and lots of food.
Mrs. Lutz’s greatest loss was her son, August Christian Lutz, who preceded her in death early in his life. Her greatest accomplishment was her family that survives her: daughters, Donna Eloise Lutz and Amelia Lutz Packard; son-in-law, Stephen Lee Packard, and most of all, cherished grandsons, Christian Arthur and Adam Lutz Packard.
Her last sentence was, “God has been really good to me.” We salute our mother and her life.
There will be a private family service at the gravesite. Rather than flowers, the family recommends gifts directly to needy individuals in your respective communities.
