Ella Mae Huber's Obituary
Huber, Ella Mae., age 88, passed away at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Florida on August 24, 2022, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Huber was born in Batavia, Ohio to the late Parker and Viola Adams. Two siblings, who resided in Ohio, preceded her in death. She attended the University of Florida in Gainesville Florida earning a specialist degree. She worked for the Alachua County School System for over 30 years first as an Eastside High School Media Specialist and prior to retirement, Director of Alachua County School Libraries. Upon retirement and until her death, she took on management along with her husband of a number of housing units.
Mrs. Huber was preceded by her husband of 63 years, George, survived by her daughter Becky (Nancy) of Jacksonville Florida and two sons, Brent (Linda) of Ocala Florida and Bart (Diana) of Jacksonville Florida and seven grandsons Zachary, Benjamin, Parker, Kenny, Joshua, Christopher, and Owen and one granddaughter Alexis. Throughout her life, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother who took great pleasure in spending time with her family and they with her. She also stayed active and enjoyed attending weekly girls night out and participating in other activities with her friends.
Memorial services for Mrs. Huber will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Williams-Thomas Westarea located at 823 NW 143rd St in Newberry FL.
