My folks told me.....so saddened to hear of Lisa's passing....I still remember the times visiting Lisa and Julie in Erie some 30 odd years ago. What marvelous and incredible gifts from God they were to all of us. What inspiration and accomplishment. I encourage you to hope in the future when we all will be reunited in complete health and glory. May the Lord keep you with His special graces and mercy until then.

I am so very sad to learn of Lisa's passing. My heart is broken. We were childhood playmates and she and her sister used to ask to play jump rope with me. They would each hold an end and "watch" me jump. I have never ever forgotten those days and it sums up how selfless and generous Lisa and jJulie were. As we became older I ran into her in the health community here in Erie before she moved. I worked in health care and always loved running into her. I kept up with her accomplishments via facebook and I can't believe she is gone. I'm so so fortunate to have known her. God Bless her mom and dad and Chaz.

I worked with Lisa at the VA. At the time, I was head of the VA Library. Lisa came to use the Library often. When I first met her my instinct was to assist her physically. I soon learned that aside from propping open the door for her, she was quite capable of handling physical obstacles herself. I later learned by the type of document requests she made that she was brilliant. What anyone who came in contact with her would remember most was her sweet disposition & lovely smile. I hope that thought helps you cope with a sad loss to many.

Lisa, thank you for being a wonderful friend and colleague. I had the pleasure of knowing Lisa since 2000 when we met in Gainesville at the University of Florida. Lisa was not only my best friend but she was so much more like a sister (with Mom & Dad being a second set of parents). We met our first semester at Gannon University in an English class & we became fast friends. Lisa was there to share in my joys and in my sorrows, always being a true friend. I think anyone who met her, loved her. She was an inspiration to many and I believe that will be her legacy.

Lisa was such a beautiful person inside and out! She had a smile on her face no matter what the circumstance was in her daily life.
