Eleas Michael Coullias, Jr's Obituary
We said good-bye to our dad, Eleas Michael Coullias, Jr. on December 13, 2024.
He was born to Louis Michael Coullias and Sarah Elizabeth Reese on June 25, 1932. He graduated from Gainesville High School in 1951 and enlisted in the Air Force serving in the Korean War. He married Jean Gay Thompson in 1951. They were married for 23 years.
Eleas was a residential contractor until he retired. He enjoyed living with Janine Griggs for over 35 years.
He is survived by daughters, Marianne (Paul) and Suzanne (Bob); grandchildren Samantha (Nick), Jake (Jen), Savanna (Ryan) and Gunner. He had 4 great-grandchildren, Leighton, Maverick, Beckett and Tenley.
There will be a military honors Salute at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell on February 28th, 2025, at 2:30 pm. His ashes will be interred there.
Dad spent his life being a happy and loving person.
We appreciate the care given to Eleas by everyone at Magnolia Ridge in Gainesville. Also, special thanks for the care he received in his last days in North Florida Regional with Community Hospice.
