Elaine Harriman Dumais' Obituary
Elaine Harriman Dumais, a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025, at the age of 75.
Elaine was the beloved wife of Rudy Dumais, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and love, raising two cherished daughters. Elaine’s family was her greatest joy, and she took immense pride in supporting and encouraging them.
Known for her kind and giving heart, Elaine also exemplified determination in everything she did. Whether it was lending a listening ear, working to help others, or nurturing her beloved garden, Elaine poured her heart into every task with strength and tenacity.
Elaine was predeceased by her parents, Howard Lawerence Harriman and Gertrude Agnes McLaughlin. She is survived by her husband, Rudy Vernon Dumais; her daughters, Meagan (Geoffrey) Mills and Karrah (Andrew) Pearce; her sisters, Sandy Kempton, Kathleen Harriman, Roberta Peach, and Dee Dee Methot, and brothers, Robert McLaughlin and Thomas Harriman. Her family and those who knew her will cherish the memories of her warmth and the joy she brought into their lives.
In accordance with Elaine's wishes, no services will be held. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to Haven – E.T. York Hospice Care Center.
Elaine lived a life rooted in love, determination, and generosity. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will forever bloom in the hearts of all who knew her.
