Elaine Mary Clark's Obituary
Elaine Mary Clark, age 87 of Hawthorne passed away Friday, May 24, 2024 in Gainesville. She was born January 9, 1937 in Chicago, IL and chosen by her parents, John Joseph and Anastaziia Yach Dews.
Elaine attended Niles Township High School and the University of Illinois. She was the first dispatcher with Coconut Creek Public Safety Department. She was Guardian Ad Litem in Alachua County. She was a member of the Red Hats.
She is survived by her children, Connie Clark, James Clark (Abigail), Jason Clark (Karman); grandchildren, Jennifer Bates (Shane), Ashley DiScuillo (Derek), Katie Clark, Nicholas Zagami, Anastaziia Clark, Hannah Clark and Jacob Clark; great grandchildren, Emma, Mila, Olivia, Jack, Sadie, Luca, Gavin, Caiden, Brooks and two on the way.
Elaine was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Richard Lewis Clark, her son, John Clark and her grandson, John Clark, Jr.
A funeral service will be held Friday, June 7, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 818 CR 20-A. Hawthorne. A burial will follow in Hawthorne Cemetery 23350 SE Hawthorne Rd, Hawthorne. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m.
