It’s so difficult to say goodbye to someone who has been in your life from its beginning. I love you grandma…I miss you so much. I don’t want to think of the future without you in it. I amso grateful that my last visit with you was one worth holding on to. I don’t remember laughing with you as much as we did that day. Who knew a trip to Walmart would be so meaningful. I really enjoyed shopping with you (a favorite pastime of my own) and the expression on your face when you thought you wouldn’t get that sweater you wanted. I told I would get it for you. Not sure if you believed me. But sitting on the bench, I pulled it out of my bag and your face just lit up. We joked and laughed; you had that mischievous glint in your eyes. We were looking forward to Christmas. It won’t be the same without you. I love you grandma.
