Edwin H. Stultz's Obituary
A native of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Edwin Harrison Stultz, Jr., the son of the late Edwin and Roberta Stultz, passed away on August 29, in Gainesville, Florida, where he had made his home for a number of years with his son, Jeff.
A graduate of Rock Hill High School, he continued his education at Presbyterian College, then served as a paratrooper in the US Army at Fort Bragg, NC, and in Germany. He returned to Rock Hill where he worked as a statistician at Bowater Paper Mill, served as a Ruling Elder at the First Presbyterian Church and as Clerk of the Session. He was a member of the choir and the York County Choral Society, often giving concerts. He was also a member of the Rock Hill Music Club.
He moved to Gainesville, Florida, where he became active in the First Presbyterian Church and worked at Shands Hospital. After retiring from there and after the passing of Jeff, "Ed" moved to the Atrium where he made friends easily, gave piano recitals and lectured on art. He painted, observed nature, and read. .
The graveside service will be at Laurelwood Cemetery in Rock Hill, SC, Friday, October 7 at 11:00 am conducted by the Reverend Dr. Don McGarity.
He will be missed by many friends and loved ones.
