Rick Maroney
I knew Ed and the entire family from the time I moved to Valley Rd at age 5 (80 now) in Lexington MA. He was always so kind to others. He loved golf and thanks to his Dad I got to play golf at Belmont Country Club when we weren't caddying. Leo and Jack were there also.
My fondest childhood memories include hitch hiking to Belmont Country Club to caddy then hitching home in the dark with Ed and Jack.
Hitting wiffle golf balls in the Martin yard.
Sledding in the Pines every winter.
Trips to Circle Pizza in the North End.
Alter boy with Ed and Jack.
Football, and baseball at the field next to the tennis courts.
What I remember above all else is how kind and dependable Ed was...a stand up kid that lived life to the fullest.
