As a little boy, Edward trusted in Jesus Christ as his Savior, as his brother and sister had just done months earlier. Growing up in Springfield, Oregon, Edward excelled in school, was a track athlete, and was involved in youth group at his church and Young Life, spending time in Malibu and at Woodleaf as a camp counselor.

In 2006, he and Teri welcomed their middle daughter Danika into their family and in 2010 Lindsay was born. When the economy took a turn, he took a director position in Houston, Texas with Francesca's warehouse in 2013. The South became a place that his heart called home. He enjoyed the warmth of the humidity, the hospitality of friends, and strong Christian values lived out.
In 2015, Edward and his family moved back to Central Oregon, where he began his own floor cleaning business. He managed all aspects of the business, including sales, accounting, and the physical labor, until April 2025. His entrepreneurial spirit found great satisfaction in running his own business.
In 2022, Edward's liver condition worsened and he sought care for transplant at UF Health Shands hospital in Gainesville, Florida, unwaveringly pursuing life and health at every turn. He received a transplant on August 17, 2022, extending his life for four years. He enjoyed exploring Florida and calling it home for eight months.
Edward was an eager, attentive, and ever-curious student of the Bible which set an example for his daughters. He served as a community group leader in his church and enjoyed shepherding people in understanding and living out scripture.
Edward enjoyed hiking and camping in Oregon forests and delighted in taking his daughters on trips into the wilderness. His wife and three girls were the joys of his life!! His commitment to being a faithful husband and intentional father are treasured by his family.
