Edward "Ed" R. Box's Obituary
Edward “Ed” R. Box, age 81, went home to be with his Lord and savior on Sunday January 8, 2023.
Ed was born in Branford, Fl. Where he grew up. He loved baseball at a young age, playing minor league baseball, and even playing on a league when he was 70.
Ed was an Outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hiking, and camping, and anything outdoors. An avid sportsman. He enjoyed playing golf.
A longtime member of Westside Baptist church, where Ed taught children’s Sunday school for many years.
Survived by his loving wife of 45 years Norma “Polly” Box children, Cindi Hicks and husband Robert, Edward “Eddie” Box, Toni E. Kendall, Darin Brown and wife Elena, Jeremy Brown and wife Robin, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. .
Brothers Herbert and Howard Box, half-sister, Janet Beckham.
Preceded in death by his parents, John Frasier Box and Sadie Bernice Tomlinson Box, and a brother, John Box.
A celebration of Ed’s life will be held Sunday January 15, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Westside Baptist Church ,with Dr Gary Crawford, and Dr. Robin Thomas
