Edna Arline Succow's Obituary
Edna Arline Succow was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on November 23 1922. Shortly after, her family moved to Boonton, New Jersey where she spent her first years going to school, graduating from Boonton High in 1940, helping her dad in a local grocery store, and later worked on the Draft Board during World War 2. She also studied tap dance and even performed on stage at the Boonton Theater.
Arline met John J. Succow and married in June of 1949 and moved to Denville, New Jersey. Their first child, Ronald J. Succow was born April of 1953 and second, Diana Succow Sasser, July of 1955. The family eventually moved back to Boonton, New Jersey. Arline was a homemaker, and library volunteer and horse show mom.
After the passing of her husband in 1976, Arline moved to Melrose, Florida in 1977, where she lived until her death. Arline worked at the University of Florida in the Quantum Theory Dept until her retirement in 1989. She enjoyed playing Mahjong, painting, reading and playing piano.
Arline is survived by her 2 children, 3 grand children, Aaron R Succow, Vicki Markowski, and Ian Sasser and 3 great grandchildren, Mary Victoria Noel, Zachery A Succow and Sebastian J Succow.
Per her wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral. She will be laid to rest in New Jersey next to her husband. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society and The American Heart Association.
