Edith Earline Hunter's Obituary
Edith Earline Hunter was born on a farm in Jonesville, FL, June 13, 1918, the oldest of eight children.
She attended Florida Normal and Industrial Institute in St. Augustine, FL. She was a licensed cosmetologist and also worked full time in the Michigan Public School System as Administrative Assistant to the School Board Superintendent.
She moved to Detroit, MI in 1945 where she lived until returning home to Florida in 1999.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Burner Hunter, Sr. and son, Burner Hunter, Jr. She is survived by her granddaughter, Alison Hunter; daughter-in-law, Alice Hunter; sisters, Willa Hughes and Ora Booker; brother, Ulysses Fisher and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too many to name.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, April 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd Street. with Rev. Frank Bogle officiating. Burial will be private.
