Ed and Judy Noland's Obituary
In memory of a Loving Couple
Ed and Judy Noland passed away peacefully at the Haven Hospice Center in Gainesville, FL in early September with family members at their side. Married for 36 years, they were never apart in life. They were called back to the side of our Lord Jesus with only four days separating the dates of their passing. Judy Noland was born on June 19, 1938 and passed away on September 1, 2022. Ed Noland was born on July 21, 1938 and passed away on September 5, 2022. Both passed at the age of 84.
Ed was born in Memphis, Tennessee and served two full careers as a Paramedic Firefighter. He was employed for 20 years with the Tampa Fire Department retiring as a Captain and another full 20 years with Alachua County Fire Rescue retiring as a Training Chief. Ed was a highly respected member of EMS/Fire communities in both Tampa and Gainesville. Additionally, Ed was a decorated veteran of the US Army serving in the 101st Airborne Division.
Judy was born in Washington, DC and worked for most of her life as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant. During her time in Tampa, she was additionally employed as a teacher at a private dental school. Judy was a loving mother and always drawn to animals including being an accomplished equestrian competing in Hunter/Jumper events into her 30’s.
Ed and Judy are survived by children and grandchildren from previous marriages as well as many close friends in the Gainesville area.
A memorial service and celebration of their lives together will be held on November 19, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Downtown, 404 North Main Street, Gainesville.
